The Chicago Bulls would like to improve their roster this summer, but they are having some problems making that happen.

For example, the trade market for one of their biggest players has reportedly completely “dried up.”

According to Evan Sidery, the Bulls have had “little luck generating a trade market for Nikola Vucevic.”

“After demanding a 1st-round pick at the deadline, Chicago’s market for the soon to be 35-year-old has dried up,” Sidery wrote.

After demanding a 1st-round pick at the deadline, Chicago’s market for the soon to be 35-year-old has dried up.

Last season, Vucevic averaged 18.5 points and 10.1 rebounds for the Bulls, shooting 53.0 percent from the field.

This was his fifth season with the Bulls after spending time with the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic.

Chicago was still a mess in 2024-25, despite the efforts of Vucevic.

Once again, rumors about him being traded popped up during the middle of the season, but they didn’t lead anywhere.

That is apparently because other teams aren’t interested in signing him.

Vucevic wants to compete, and the Bulls would like to get better.

They understand that their time with Vucevic may be coming to an end, but they cannot force a trade if other teams aren’t willing to talk.

Sidery said that a buyout might be the best option for Chicago and Vucevic, allowing them to both move on.

If that happens, Vucevic will be able to search for a new home in the league.

It is important to remember that rumors like this have swirled around Vucevic before, and they never resulted in change.

There is a chance that happens again, and he is still with Chicago when next season begins.
